PUPPY HEALTH WARRANTY & PURCHASE /RETURN/REFUND POLICY 

Registration & Health All puppies are pre-registered through the AKC. Puppies are microchipped, vet-checked, and receive age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming. Each buyer will receive a health record and registration paperwork at the time of pickup. Sapphire Valley Great Pyrenees guarantees the puppy to be in good health at the time of sale and free of contagious disease for 72 hours after purchase. A detailed health warranty and refund/return policy are provided separately.  

Ownership & Breeder Rights The breeder reserves the right to retain first choice of up to two puppies per litter. All puppies are sold as working Livestock Guardian Dogs. Buyers must provide adequate fencing, shelter and livestock environment. Sapphire Valley Great Pyrenees reserves first right of refusal if the buyer can no longer keep the dog for any reason.  

Short-Term Health Warranty: The puppy has been examined by a licensed veterinarian and found to be in good health at the time of sale. Buyer must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within seventy-two (72) hours of receiving the puppy to validate this warranty. If, within that period, the veterinarian determines the puppy is unfit for sale due to a life-threatening or serious condition, Buyer must notify Sapphire Valley Great Pyrenees within twenty-four (24) hours of diagnosis. Failure to do so will void this Health Warranty. With written confirmation from the veterinarian, Buyer may return the puppy for a full refund or replacement of equal value from the next available litter. Minor or temporary issues such as parasites, mild infections, or stress-related illness are excluded. The warranty is void if the puppy is exposed to other animals or environments before its initial exam, or if it is neglected or mistreated.  

Long-Term Health Warranty: Sapphire Valley Great Pyrenees provides a one-year warranty from the puppy’s date of birth against congenital or hereditary conditions that seriously impair the dog’s quality of life. Covered conditions include severe hip dysplasia (confirmed by OFA or PennHIP), congenital heart defects, and hereditary blindness. Buyer must provide veterinary certification and diagnostic results. Sapphire Valley Great Pyrenees may seek a confirming opinion. If verified, the breeder may offer a replacement puppy or partial refund. This warranty applies only to dogs kept in healthy condition, properly fed, and not overexercised or altered before 12 months of age.  

Purchase/Return/Refund Policy: Deposits are non-refundable, except as detailed within the provided Short-Term Health Warranty. A 50% deposit is required to reserve a puppy. The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time. If full payment is not received, Buyer forfeits the deposit and the puppy will be re-listed.

Breeder may make recommendations for transport of Puppy, but cost and all arrangements are the sole responsibility of Buyer. Breeder does not provide a carrier.

Buyer assumes full responsibility for the Puppy's ongoing health care and maintenance from the date of purchase. This includes providing daily care, obtaining all necessary immunizations and de-worming treatments, and covering the costs of any examinations, medications, and follow-up treatments recommended by a licensed veterinarian. The Puppy should be fed an age-appropriate, premium-brand puppy food until 18 months of age.  

To maintain the validity of the Puppy Health Warranty, Buyer must ensure the Puppy receives regular checkups and all required vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian and must retain all corresponding receipts and veterinary records as proof of compliance.  

Failure to meet these immunization requirements or scheduled veterinary visits will result in the immediate voiding of all guarantees. Buyer acknowledges that they are solely responsible for all veterinary costs and related expenses. 

The Health Warranty is contingent upon Buyer fulfilling the aforementioned responsibilities and obligations.  

Limitation of Warranty: No other warranties, expressed or implied, are made by Sapphire Valley Great Pyrenees. The Puppy is sold as-is, except as stated herein. Breeder’s total liability shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Puppy.
